Distinction: Nebraska has the smallest state legislature and the only one that is unicameral and nonpartisan, and they meet in the only state capitol building that's considered one of the architectural wonders of the modern world.
Geographic Oddity: Nebraska landscape? Boring? They have the largest hand-planted forest, Chimney Rock, Courthouse & Jail Rocks, Scotts Bluff, The Sandhills, Devils Nest, Lewis & Clark Lake, Platte River Valley, elevations over a mile high, fall colors, and of course, Memorial Stadium.
