This is a three-dimensional table showing you colors available
by combining varying amounts of red, green and blue light. It is
useful for selecting color values to include in HTML programming.
(Of course, since this is a two-dimensional medium, you will have to
see the third dimension by moving forward and backward through
the pages.) Disclaimer: Your browser may not be able to handle
all 4,096 colors shown in the chart, in which case substitutions
will be made.
- The red
light increases as you move from left to right.
- The green
light increases as you move from top to bottom.
- The blue
light increases as you move from back to front.
Choose a starting point from the line below based on the amount of blue light.
NOTE: Double-clicking a cell in the table will reveal the hex value for the
color shown. For example, if you double-click the colored rectangle below,
you should see the value "9955AA" displayed. (If double-clicking doesn't do
the trick, try left-clicking on one edge of the cell, holding down and
moving across.)
The value "9955AA" means that
- the red light is turned up to value "99",
- the green light is turned up to value "55", and
- the blue light is turned up to value "AA".
Each of these values can range from "00" to "FF".
